Our Story

An Era Reimagined

The newly transformed Namma Bengaluru Aquarium officially reopened its doors in July 2024. Visitors can now journey through stunning freshwater and marine habitats, admire vibrant coral reef species, walk beneath swimming fish in the tunnel aquarium, and enjoy a truly immersive aquatic adventure.

A Vision Comes to Life

Construction began in 1972 on Bengaluru's first public aquarium. Its unique octagonal architecture was created to inspire curiosity about the fascinating world beneath the water's surface.

The Journey Continues

Today, the aquarium is home to over 100 aquatic species from around the world, with interactive exhibits and conservation-focused experiences that inspire curiosity and learning.
